A Beauty Queen's Murder- JonBenet Ramsey

She was found with a nylon cord around her neck, her wrists tied above her head, and duct tape covering her mouth.

JonBenet was only 6 years old when her death shocked the country. She lived in a posh section of Boulder, Colorado with her older brother and parents, Patsy and John Ramsey. It was Christmas day when the Ramsey's went to bed in their perfect world, and early the next morning when it came crashing down around them. Patsy woke up to see JonBenet was not in her room and as she walked down the stairs she saw the ransom letter sitting on the bottom of the stairs. She called the police and woke up her husband.

Right from the start when the cops showed up they contaminated everything, any evidence from the actual crime seen once JonBenet was found would be gone. The cops did not remove the Ramsey's and all their family that had come over, they did not rope off the area and they made the mistake of telling Mr. Ramsey to go look around. So John Ramsey started out down stairs in the basement and he found his daughter in a hidden room in the basement, even though the ransom note said she was still alive. Mr. Ramsey picked up his dead daughter and carried her up stairs. Everything, any type of evidence was now contaminated.

There was only a broken window in the basement, a small cellar window. There where no foot prints in the snow outside and there appeared to be no struggle in the beauty queens room. So, police decided, the killer must have already be in the house. But the Ramsey's had no enemies so who would have killed their only little girl? They did, the police claim. So the Ramsey's where prime suspects and they really did not do this. In a time when your in a state of shock and grieving while the whole world is pointing the finger at you how are you to act? Who is to say how you should act? They Ramsey's went on TV to try to clear their names and beg for the killers arrest. Patsy appeared to be drugged up on something, this does no prove that she is guilty like other people claim but maybe that she was having a hard time remaining calm, or even staying alive. This women was already in a stage 4 ovarian cancer, already taking tons of meds. People demonized her for putting her daughter in pageants and dressing her up the way she did because its almost like an open invite to sexual predators, But in Patsy's mind she knew that she did not have that much time to live and she wanted to do what her and her mother did together so she put JonBenet in pageants at an early age. And so what? JonBenet had the talent and the charm and charisma to do it. 

A few things cops never really took much time to consider is that there was a foot print in the mud outside the house, she had pineapple in her stomach that she must have eaten right before she was killed and her parents did not feed it to her, they also never discussed the fact that there aren't any foot prints because there is not snow in the back yard around the house. Also prior to Christmas, the Ramsey's deck out there house and open their doors to the neighborhood to walk through, this could add up to about 1,500 people. Maybe more. This could have given countless people free range to look around the house. The cops also claimed that the window had been broken to make it look like someone broke in because there's no way someone could climb in the window. But this isn't true, there was actually a table propped up against the wall under the window.  This could have provided a entrance and exit with out a doubt. 

A man recently came forward claiming that he was the killer of the beauty queen. He said he loved her and killed her by accident. This was disproved, but it is possible that JonBenet had a stalker who was possibly watching her for some time. At one of JonBenet's pageants, one of the directors of the show saw JonBenet speaking with an older man. She recognized the little girl but did not recognized the man. The women walked over and asked who he was and he identified himself as her father. The lady later realized that that man was not her father. So who was he? There's a good chance that the person who killed her is already dead. But then there is always the ransom note, its said that a hand writing sample taken from Patsy Ramsey made hand writing experts unable to rule her out as the writer. Her parents and brother were all ruled out as suspects in 2008, just 2 years after Patsy died of cancer. The case has been reopened and a new round of interviews are being conducted in this case.
